MSHP: Elderly woman injured in Holt County wreck


OREGON, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 78-year-old Forest City woman was seriously injured in a Holt County wreck.

The Patrol says Maryann Margarit was driving a 1999 Honda Accord on Missouri State Highway 111 just outside of Oregon.

At 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Margarit lost control of the Honda, which skidded and overturned down an embankment. She was taken to Mosaic Medical Center in St. Joseph with serious injuries. Margarit was wearing a seatbelt.
